We are starting to see an ebike battery arms race taking place in the market. As a Youtuber I am regularly getting ebikes with 20 amp hour batteries. A year ago that was not the case. Everything I received was between 10-14AH for the most part.
But 2023 has been the year of big battery with one goal in mind: to boost ebike ranges.
I go on long rides of 30-40 miles so require more than a typical 14 amp hour ebike. Thats why I added a second battery to my Espin Nesta which now claims a total of 40 amp hour battery capacity. Thats good for about 80 miles or so of range.
But there are now three ebikes on the market with MASSIVE 60 AH batteries (2880 watt hours) that claim up to 200 miles of range! That’s unheard of from a single battery ebike. All are 48 volt options.
So here’s a quick look at 3 super range ebikes that you can buy. They are all under $2,000 which is also quite remarkable.
G-Force T7 – $1,999
For meT7 is the best choice because it folds, isnt too heavy (79 lbs) and has dual suspension. It’s also the most normal looking of the 3 ebikes.
