Flyer Via Ebike is the Kid Carrier King!

Radio Flyer the company behind the popular kids wagons also makes and sells several ebikes for hauling your kiddies around. Their latest offering is the VIA which comes in 3 sizes (s/m/L) and two versions. The upgraded PRO has front suspension and a bigger motor.

The Flyer Via comes in 3 colors black, mint green and school bus yellow. The company has a store in the Woodfield Mall in Chicago if you want to see one on person before buying.

Flyer Via Specs

The standard version comes with a 500 watt rear hub motor, torque sensor, LCD display, turn signals with auto-cutoff, and a UL Cerified battery (UL 2849). It also features hydraulic brakes, front and rear lighting (brake activated) and can be used with the Flyer mobile app.

Payload capacity is 400 lbs, the ebike weighs 68lbs and is 75-77 inches long depending on which size you get. The front tire is bigger at 24×2.4 while the rear is a 20×2.4 inch featuring Tektro Hydraulic brakes with 180 mm rotors.

What I Like

Design and style cues are top notch, lots of cool accessories for hauling around kids. Great handlebar setup with a nice easy reach. Solid ride quality all around.

What I Don’t

Lack of a second battery option.

The Flyer Via sells for $2,199 or the Pro version for $2,499.
