On a recent visit to Phoenix I stopped by Soul Ebikes based in Mesa, Arizona. I have been following them on Instagram for a while and have admired their unique frame style.
While there, owner Jim Decker gave me a tour of their facility which is full of colorful cruiser style ebikes. They make big guy ebikes but also have some step thru and female friendly options as well.
Decker told me he’s spent 3X more money on designing his unique frame with the factory he partially owns in China. The frame is gorgeous and features a lot of gussets and reinforced areas making it one of the strongest in the industry. The frame is made from 6061 aluminum/ One of the gussets even has a bottle opener.
“We’re a lifestyle brand” Decker told me as we roamed through his shop. The day before my visit, former MLB pitcher Randy Johnson was there picking up a new ebike.
I also recorded a test ride on their new ‘CUDA full suspension cruiser with Vee Tire Speedsters. It’s by far the most comfortable ebike I’ve ever ridden.
