This week I traveled to Lectric Ebikes offices in Phoenix, Arizona to see the launch of their latest ebike, the off road styled XPeak. It’s the company’s first foray into the 26 x 4 inch fat tire segment. It will come in a step over traditional diamond frame and step through models.
Lectric, which is on pace to sell their 400,000th ebike in a few weeks, aims to make the XPeak the market leader in this segment. To do that, they sent the ebike to a US-based bicycle testing lab which put the XPeak through the rigorous eMTB standard testing process to prove the frame, fork, stem, and handlebars can handle off-road conditions ride after ride. The XPeak is now rated to ISO 4210-10 eMTB status.

The XPeak controller (24 amp) will also include Lectric’s new Pedal Assist Wattage Regulation (PWR) programming allows for an improved Pedal Assist experience by assisting the rider up to a certain power level for each PAS setting, instead of limiting the assistance by speed alone.
I’ll be reviewing the ebike sometime in January 2024. In the meantime you can pre-order the XPeak starting November 1st for the cost of $1,299. Shipping will commence in January.
