There are lots of ebike companies you can buy from today but who are the most trusted when it comes to ebikes in the $1k to $2k range? I have immersed myself in the ebike world since early 2021 so I have learned a lot in that time span about which companies that offer the best value.
So the list below is my personal list based on my past experience. I realize I may have left a company or two off but this list represents a mix of popularity, quality and price.
There are more expensive ebikes you can buy from companies like Tern, Gazelle, etc. but those ebikes are priced out of reach for the average buyer.
1. Lectric Ebikes | Link
Lectric Ebikes is an American company based in Phoenix, Arizona that designs, manufactures, and sells affordable electric bikes. They’re known for their high-quality bikes at competitive prices, making them a popular choice for budget-minded e-bike riders. They now also offer a Trike and 26×4 EMTB.
Lowest Price Model: $799 XP Lite.
Their most popular models include:
- XP 3.0: This is their flagship model, known for its powerful 500W motor, long 40-mile range, and hydraulic brakes. It’s also foldable, making it easy to store and transport.
- XP Lite: This is a more lightweight and affordable option, with a 350W motor and 25-mile range. It’s a good choice for commuting or casual riding.
- XPedition: This is a cargo ebike designed for hauling heavy loads. It has a powerful 1310W motor and a dual-battery option for up to 120 miles of range.
Affordable prices: Lectric Ebikes are known for their competitive prices. Their bikes typically start around $800, which is significantly less than many other e-bike brands.
Good quality: Despite their affordability, Lectric Ebikes are made with high-quality components. They use durable frames, reliable motors, and long-lasting batteries.
Great customer service: Lectric Ebikes has a reputation for the best customer service in the industry. They offer a one-year warranty on their bikes and provide free shipping and returns.
Overall, Lectric Ebikes is a good option for riders who are looking for an affordable, high-quality ebike. They offer a variety of models to suit different needs and budgets, and their bikes are packed with features.

2. Rad Power Bikes | Link
Rad Power Bikes offers a variety of electric bikes to suit your needs and preferences. They are one of the biggest companies in the ebike space and have been around for over 10 years. My favorite ebike from Rad is their most expensive however, the RadRunner 3 Plus comes in at $2,299. But in 2024 they have announced lower prices.
Lowest price model: $1,199 RadRover 6

- RadRunner Plus: This compact and stylish cargo bike is perfect for getting around town and running errands. It has a comfortable step-thru frame and plenty of storage space, making it ideal for everyday use.
- Off-Road and Adventure Bikes:
- RadRover 6 Plus: This fat-tire e-bike is built for tackling tough terrain. It has a powerful motor, wide tires, and front suspension for providing a smooth ride even on bumpy trails.

All Rad Power Bikes electric bikes are Class 2, which means they have a motor that cuts out at 20 mph. They also have a range of between 25 and 50 miles on a single charge, depending on the model.
3. Aventon | Link
Aventon offers a range of electric bikes (e-bikes) with various models catering to different preferences. Two models have fat tires, the rest are more road style ebikes. I’ve ridden the Aventure a 26×4 fat tire but my favorite Aventon is the Level 2 a commuter style ebike.
Least expensive model: $999 the Solterra.

4. Ride1Up | Link
Ride1Up offers a variety of electric bike models designed for different purposes, including commuting and off-road riding. Their least expensive model is the $995 Portola, a folding 20×3 inch ebike similar to the Lectric XP. My favorite is the LMT’D. And the Rev1 their emoped style ebike has been a big hit recently.

5. Juiced | Link
Juiced Bikes offers a range of electric bike models designed for various purposes, including commuting, off-road riding, and cargo hauling. Some of their popular models include:

Their least expensive model is the RipRacer which sells for around $1,199.
6. Velotric | Link
In 2022, Velotric launched two popular e-bikes: Discover 1 and Nomad 1. Discover 1 is the brand’s all-rounder offering, an urban commuter e-bike, while the Nomad 1 is the brand’s adventure-style, fat-tire model, designed for all-weather, all-terrain use.
Last year they launched direct sales of two new bikes—the Velotric Packer 1, a heavy-duty cargo e-bike and the Velotric Go 1, a compact utility e-bike. The Go 1 is now on sale for $999.

7. Himiway | Link
Himiway is known for its long range ebikes including the Cruiser model, which is a popular fat tire electric bike. Their least expensive is the Cruiser at $999 but it only has mechanical disk brakes.

They have fat tires that provide traction and stability, and powerful motors that can help you conquer hills. The Himiway Cruiser and Himiway Zebra are two popular models in this category.

Launches in 2022 by a bunch of bike industry execs, the company offers a wide variety of models to suit almost any rider. Their most affordable ebike is the City1 commuter style which goes for $999.
- Denago City Model 1 & 2: These are sleek and stylish ebikes perfect for zipping around town. They feature powerful motors (500W for Model 1 and 750W for Model 2), long ranges (up to 60 miles for Model 1 and 40 miles for Model 2), and comfortable upright riding positions. Both models come in a variety of colors and with either a step-thru or top-tube frame.
- Denago Commute Model 1: This ebike prioritizes comfort and practicality for urban commutes. It boasts features like a suspension fork and seatpost, integrated lights, fenders, a rear rack, and a sleek hidden battery. You can choose between a high-step or step-thru frame.
- Denago Folding 1: This compact and portable ebike is ideal for city dwellers or anyone who needs to store their bike in tight spaces. It folds easily for convenient storage and transport. Despite its small size, it still packs a punch with a 350W motor and a 24V 10.4Ah battery that provides up to 25 miles of range.

10. Troxus | Link
My favorite Troxus is the Trax which comes with a massive 30 amp hour battery. You can even choose a version with a suspension fork for added comfort. Its sleek design and powerful motor make it ideal for zipping through city streets efficiently.
- City Series: This series offers a more budget-friendly option with a 500W motor and 48V 13Ah battery for up to 40 miles of range. It comes in both step-thru and step-over frames, and you can choose between a traditional bike look or a modern, minimalist design.
- Explorer Series: These sturdy ebikes boast powerful 750W motors and long-range 48V 20Ah batteries for up to 60 miles of exploration. Their 26″ fat tires provide excellent traction on various terrains, making them suitable for both city commutes and weekend adventures.
- SkyHopper Series: This series features slightly smaller 20″ fat tires, making it more maneuverable in tight spaces while still offering good grip. Choose between a 500W or 80Nm motor with a 48V 12.8Ah battery for up to 40 miles of range.
Troxus ebikes are generally well-regarded for their quality, performance, and value for money. They offer a variety of features and styles to suit different riders and budgets.
