Update on my Lectric Xpedition After 400+ Miles of Uber Eats Deliveries

Over the past six weeks I have put my Lectric Xpedition dual battery cargo ebike through its paces and then some. I just had to swap in new brake pads and the rear tire is going bald quicker than I thought it might. I just replace the stock tires back in the spring but all that extra weight and high speeds I’ve been riding with have taken its toll on the rubber.

I added the Lectric food delivery package consisting of the large flat rack you attach to the rear and the large delivery bag seen in the video above. Its big enough to carry a pizza box which i could not do under the previous setup. The rack also serves as a quick way to lock up the ebike while i park it since its easy to slip the Lectric folding lock thru it.

As for Uber Eats I only take deliveries which are $4 or more since they are all 2 miles air less for those that sign up with a bike/ebike. I typically do a 2 hr lunch ship and usually complete 4-5 deliveries during this period. I’m averaging about $80-$90 per week by going out 4-5 days per week. In general I average about $5 per delivery. The biggest tip I have gotten so far was $15.

For me thats just pocket change, but it puts gas in my truck and keeps my fridge full of iced coffee each week.

As for the Xpedition I do miss not having front suspension but it has severed me well during the past month. It is definitely a good choice for delivering.
